Watch This Commercial And Be Amazed This Congressman Was Unopposed In 2012

If you enjoy circus-like GOP primaries, Georgia’s Republican U.S. Senate primary is your big top this year.

Rep. Phil Gingrey, former Georgia secretary of state Karen Handel, businessman David Perdue and Rep. Jack Kingston all have potential to be this year’s breakout Todd Akin. Kingston already said that he favored child labor for poor kids, then clarified that he thought it would be good for rich kids, too.

But there may be no candidate in America more likely to say something to offend people than Rep. Paul Broun, who was elected in 2012 without any Democratic opponent. However, a local libertarian radio host did try to wage a campaign to get voters to write in “Charles Darwin” rather than voting for the congressman who called evolution a “lie from the pit of hell.”

Broun released a new campaign ad on Wednesday that shows him weighing in on two of the biggest issues of the day — immigration reform and the debt ceiling. He only speaks one word. But the congressman knows his party’s base well, as it is the GOP’s favorite word in the era of Obama.
